The free knowledge digital society provides the users with interaction and eschange at an horitzontal level. It is an attitude of communication, focused on the principle of the identity of the people and the realtions between them, which relates to the creation of communities and content, and can be transferred to the communicational behavior of the organisations. Is your company "online"? Genís Roca is a partner director of RocaSalvatella, a consultancy that helps organisations to incorporate Internet and netowrk know-how in both their marketing and human resources strategies. He has been general director of Infonomia, manager of the Internet inictiatives of the Open University of Catalonia, and responsible for micro-computer science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as professor in different universities and business schools. Especially in Europe, sustainability and competitiveness go hand in hand and are a differential value that consumers distinguish and value. New production processes, new products and services... a new management philosophy that leads to the progress of eco-efficiency: to create value by means of the reduction of environmental impact. The session will be given by the team of researchers and entrepreneurs from the Institute of Science and Environmental Technology of UAB that has just created the spin-off "Inedit Innovació": Jordi Oliver, Raul Garcia and Carlos Martinez. 	Trends in Cloud Computing "Turn hardware into a service" 16:00-16:50 Cloud computing is here and it is a change of paradigm so that it turns the infrastructure (the hardware) into a service. It is the authentic battle taking place at the moment in the major companies. Those who dominate the cloud will be the actors of the future with important schemes of concentration. With the cloud technology, complex architectures (servers, applications, networks, storage, etc.) can be managed practically with a simple click, which will allow the companies to pay according to the needs they have, to scale down the infrastructure just in the right moment and not have to be as big as possible. It provides agility and reduce costs. To give us a complete view of this trend, we have Jordi Torres, professor from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and Research Manager of the research line of Autonomic Systems and eBusiness Platforms at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). His research is focused currently on Cloud and Green Computing. He will be accompanied by Moises Navarro Marín , director of IT Strategy, SOA Infrastructure & Middleware Services of IBM Global Services Spain; Tom Leyden , Product Director of Sun Microsystems in Cloud Computing and Helena Torras and Diego Parrilla , CEO and Business Development Manager & Product Technology Strategist of Abiquo. 	Low Cost trends a new value for consumers 17:00-17:50 We will analyse the phenomena of the most interesting contemporary consumer behaviour and that takes place in the productive and intermediary sector: the low cost phenomenon. It began in 1997 in the airline companies and has now extended to all fieldss of consumption. We are faced with the variation of the historic concept of price, this stops being a key factor for positioning the product and an informative parameter about the quality to become in itself a driving element in decision making. For the consumer, finding lowerr prices than usual of their reference products has now become a decisive element for the purchase. The Dr. Josep Francesc Valls is professor from the Department of Management and Marketing of ESADE, and is linked to the sector of consumption and tourism as a researcher, teacher, writer and consultant. He has collaborated with various companies and institutions such as, for example, the ICEX, Generalitat de Catalunya, the General Secretary of Tourism of Spain, Brazil, etc.. As a researcher, worth highlighting are his studies about consumers and the appearance and evolution of the low cost. He is coordinator of the book Fenómeno Low Cost (Deusto, 2008) in which he analyses consumers behaviour and the variation of the historic concept of price. In his presentation he will be accompanied by Guillem Recolons, consultant and founder member of Lateral Consulting and TVLowCost Spain, who has developed his professional career at Tiempo BBDO, J. Walter Thompson, Bassat Ogilvy, etc. This talk will be held in catalan/spanish
